We asked members of the BuzzFeed Community to share the craziest thing they’ve ever witnessed while working in a restaurant. Here are just a few of the insane submissions.
1. The bottomless refills from hell.

“I used to work in a restaurant where we would leave empty glasses on the table. A woman in the restaurant didn’t feel well and started to vomit, but instead of running to the bathroom, she started grabbing the empty water glasses and vomiting in them. She filled all the glasses on her table, and even started grabbing them from others. She filled about five glasses with her vomit in the middle of the restaurant, then left them on the table for the server to clean up. She didn’t even tip.”
2. The customer with shedding problems.
“Had a customer complain about hair in his food. After an apology, I got him a fresh plate. Two minutes later, the guy loses his shit and dumps the food on the floor because he found more hair in it. As I cleaned up the food from the floor, I realized there was quite a lot of hair on the floor and chair where the man sat. Turns out, it was his own hair!”

3. The spicy Valentine’s Day drama at table seven.

“I was working on Valentine’s Day last year and there was a couple at a table that seemed perfectly fine. Five minutes later, I walk by the table and witness the boy throw a bowl of salsa in his girlfriend’s face and storm out of the restaurant. He threw salsa. In her face. ON VALENTINE’S DAY.”
4. The customer who ~might~ have some anger issues.
“I work at a fast-food place where someone came and asked for 10 chicken breasts (that we didn’t have because it was three minutes before closing). He got angry, threatened to call corporate, and walked into the men’s restroom and tore the urinal off the wall.”

“I was working late one night when a group of NFL players came in and sat in my section. The whole time they were very demanding and rude, but I worked my butt off. They asked why i worked there and I told them I was a college student paying my way through college. One of them pays for the meal and doesn’t leave a tip. Instead, he left me a nice note saying that because I was a college student, I should get a real job and be making real money.”

“We had a nice, old couple who came in almost every Friday. One day, when they were enjoying a meal, they abruptly asked for the check, paid, and left. Turns out the woman had an accident in the booth (and there was crap on the seat I had to clean up).”
7. This clever attempt at getting out of paying the bill.

“After this family eats, the mother and kids leave while the dad stays behind and passes out. No one can wake him, so management called an ambulance. Once the paramedics got him outside, he sat up and walked away. Turns out he was just trying to get out of paying the check.”
8. The high schoolers who dealt with rejection in a perfectly mature manner.

“We had a group of high school boys who always wanted stuff for free. Most of us would just give them what they wanted because we were swamped. One day, my GM had enough and told them that if they weren’t paying for the extra stuff, they would no longer get it. After the rush, one of the kitchen guys told me there’s something I needed to see. When I walked in the bathroom, I looked down and saw that one of the aforementioned high school boys had pooped in one of their food bowls and left it for us to find (all because we wanted to charge him for extra sauce).”

“A large group of about 10 bikers came in. When they left, their server found an opened condom package and something shiny on the floor. When he bent down to pick it up, it pricked him. It was a hypodermic needle. He’s okay.”

“On a busy Saturday night, a table ordered the most expensive entrees and tried to skip out on the bill. When the server followed them to the lobby, one of the men pulled out pepper spray and sprayed the server. He was arrested, had to pay reparations to the restaurant, and had to pay the medical bills for a few people who had to be hospitalized due to breathing issues from inhaling the pepper spray.”

“A lady came into my café and asked for our tea selection. When she realized we did not carry orange pekoe tea, she became very angry and irrational. About 45 minutes later, someone informed me that a customer has PEED herself (on the floor in a huge puddle, right in the middle of the café). Then I saw the same orange pekoe lady leaving a trail of pee behind.”
