This one is from Retail Hell Underground. Amidst all of the obvious craziness (people stealing things out of little girls hands) we also have the thieves trying their little scams. Amazing what people will do for a big screen TV.
BLACK FRIDAY: MY CRAZIEST STORY
From: BmoSammyJJ
I manage a major retail store that shall remain nameless. Lets just say I was wearing red.
I thought nothing could top the woman who brought her autistic child to Black Friday (it was not fair to the kid, he understandably had a breakdown and his mother lost it on him) but this last one took the cake.
An elderly couple entered the store. Seemingly the sweetest old couple. While checking people out I see the woman on the ground having what seems to be a seizure. As me and other customers try to help her and call for ambulance, she suddenly just stands up and says everything is fine.
While relieved, I feel as if something strange is going on and notice one of our sale tv’s in her Cart. And suddenly the husband, who was nowhere to be found earlier, is back.
Thinking this is strange I ask my APO, asset protections officer, to check the camera. I couldn’t believe my feeling was right.
As the woman pretended to have a seizure the husband grabbed a TV out of another customers cart who was trying to help her. Thankfully we caught this before they left. Obviously the person the TV belonged to was very perplexed as to how their TV had disappeared so quickly.
