{"id":2210,"date":"2017-03-29T18:52:49","date_gmt":"2017-03-30T01:52:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/re-tales.net\/?p=2210"},"modified":"2017-03-29T18:52:49","modified_gmt":"2017-03-30T01:52:49","slug":"just-another-week-in-retail","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/re-tales.net\/?p=2210","title":{"rendered":"Just Another Week in Retail"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/encrypted-tbn3.gstatic.com\/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcQtXu_HDWEw70540aQfB1tz9uRStVT5Edh6ofJSyaWb1lhQwS6A\" alt=\"Image result for crazy customers images\" width=\"153\" height=\"107\" \/><\/p>\n<p>After so many years in retail I am always amazed when I see something that I&#8217;ve never seen before. \u00a0 The other day I had a Hispanic gentleman ask me for some medicine for his COUCH. \u00a0It took a while but I figured out he needed cough medicine. \u00a0(But I really considered taking him to upholstery cleaner.) \u00a0But in between the really crazy moments, there are just a lot of little crazy things that just kind of accumulate in \u00a0your head and make you bonkers after a while. \u00a0Individually they seem like nothing but when they come one after another, it&#8217;s like a prizefighter getting hit too many times.<\/p>\n<p>This guy decided to document an entire week when he started at Target, and the journal is awesome. \u00a0There are times when I wish I started a book or kept a log sometimes because I&#8217;ve forgotten more crazy stories than I can remember, but this guy got things off to the right start. \u00a0He may some day make them into a book. \u00a0In the meantime, take a look and enjoy a typical week in retail.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0 \u00a0<\/em><em>Have you ever wondered after\u00a0a shitshow\u00a0Target run ending with kids sobbing at the register and everyone needing a nap if the cashier took note of your antics? If this Target employee\u2019s hilariously detailed recounting of his first week at work is any indication, yes.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Like, a big yes.<\/em><\/p>\n<div id=\"\" class=\"sm-embedded-ad sm-inline-gtm-ad\"><em>\u00a0Tumblr user <a href=\"http:\/\/kimpossibooty.tumblr.com\/\">kimpossibooty<\/a> took us inside the mind of a Target employee with five days of meticulous notes about the customers he encountered. The list has\u00a0gone viral on <a href=\"http:\/\/imgur.com\/gallery\/9EAbZ\">Imgur<\/a>\u00a0and it\u2019s easy to see why.\u00a0His observations are both funny and insightful without mocking or judging anyone who came through his register lane.
