Where I work and in a LOT of other retailers and restaurants they use a survey of some kind to measure customer satisfaction. \u00a0Typically they have either a 1-5 or 1-10 scale, and on ours a 3 is satisfied, 4 is very satisfied and 5 is EXTREMELY satisfied. \u00a0 If the customer rates us less than a 5 it counts as a zero so just being “very satisfied” is apparently not enough.<\/p>\n
It’s nice to have high standards and all, but realistically, how often are you EXTREMELY satisfied going into a drug store or grocery store? \u00a0 I mean really, how satisfying can it be to buy your toothpaste or hemorrhoid cream? \u00a0Do they gift wrap it for you? \u00a0 Wash your car for free while you’re shopping? \u00a0 Patiently give you directions on how to use the hemorrhoid cream? \u00a0Maybe offer you a neck massage while you’re waiting in the long line to checkout? \u00a0 I’m sure in a restaurant you can be EXTREMELY satisfied if you get a great tasting meal and prompt service from the server, but I’m not sure you can even be VERY satisfied buying shampoo. \u00a0 Well, maybe if they have a stylist there and she actually shampoos your hair for you. \u00a0 Let’s start counting the 4’s. \u00a0That is all.<\/p>\n
