After 40+ years in retail, I guess I can be called an expert and I saw this list and it nailed many of the frustrations that retail workers deal with on a daily basis.\u00a0 \u00a0A side note on #3, I worked for a while in a store that was in a senior citizen community and I remember one day when a customer whistled at me (like a dog) to get my attention.\u00a0 I proceeded to cock my head to the side as if trying to hear something and kept walking, they whistled again and I stopped and cocked my head again and kept on going.\u00a0 I never found out what they wanted but hopefully they learned that a retail person is not a dog you can call with a whistle!!<\/p>\n

Working in retail was wild, people just tell you things about their personal life and you just stand there\u2026 Not knowin’ how to respond to \u201cI’m going to a funeral\u201d or \u201cI\u2019m getting a divorce\u201d like that sucks\u2026 $13.48 is your total.<\/p>\n

This morning, the young barista woman told me that a customer came in with a mask, but not wearing it. When she asked the customer to put on her mask please, the woman said: “Why? There’s no-one in here.”<\/p>\n
